Does your brand deserve an experience like this?
We design, build, and program experiential spaces that integrate architecture, software, and IoT under a single creative direction. From Buenos Aires for the world.
The project
From production plant to the future of mobility
Toyota Argentina needed to transform the former Gazoo Racing stand inside the Visitor Center at their Zárate plant into a world-class educational and inspirational experience for strategic visitors: authorities, clients, press, and investors. The new space had to communicate the "Mobility for All" corporate vision, present the KINTO business unit, and showcase HEV, PHEV, BEV, FCEV, hydrogen, and robotics technologies interactively. The challenge for Apsis: conceive, design, build, and simultaneously implement the physical construction, the interactive software, and the IoT lighting system — all under a single creative and technical direction, with full industrial plant access clearance.
Apsis was engaged as the single creative and technical direction for the entire project — physical space, interactive software and IoT lighting system, all delivered simultaneously.
Full scope
A 360° solution with no precedent
Spatial Design & Construction
Complete architecture of the 34m² space, from concept to finished installation inside Toyota Argentina's Zárate industrial plant. 3D design in SketchUp, technical drawings in AutoCAD (DWG/DXF), faceted Alucobond cladding with CNC precision cuts, a vertical totem, raised platform, interior shelving, 2×2 Samsung Video Wall structure, coordination of 5 specialist contractors, and full documentary management for industrial plant access clearance.
Interactive Software
Two custom React 18 applications: a touch interface for the 42" totem and a dedicated Video Wall app, both featuring proprietary Toyota typefaces and complete routing. 8 navigable thematic sections covering HEV, PHEV, BEV, FCEV, hydrogen, robotics, KINTO, and Woven City. WebP-optimized assets for offline operation without network dependency. Modular content updated in February 2023 without full redeployment.
IoT Lighting Control
Custom LED control system: ESP8266 microcontrollers flashed with WLED 0.13.3, a Node.js/Express backend running on a Linux mini PC, and a React administration panel with animated SVG. Automatic startup via crontab on power-on. Remote VNC access on port 8059 for off-site support without physical presence at the Zárate plant. Programmable lighting effects — white, gold, RGB, Toyota red — adjustable by Toyota staff per visit type.
Visual Identity & Content
Creative direction of the entire space, including the "Toyota Mobility and New Technologies" brand identity — the crystalline multicolor isotope — and editorial curation of all thematic content for the interactive experience. Carousel artwork per technology category, video curation (KINTO, BEV, FCEV, PHEV, Woven City), and categorized photography across HEV, PHEV, BEV, R&D, and safety themes.
Results
Architecture, software and IoT in one visual language
The finished space integrates within 34m² an immersive experience where architecture, technology, and brand identity coexist in a single visual language. The faceted Alucobond cladding dominates the space with its crystalline geometry, illuminated by IoT-controlled LED strips in real time. The 2×2 Video Wall plays sustainable mobility content, BEV/FCEV technology, and the Woven City vision. The 42" touch totems allow visitors to independently explore thematic axes with the React app running permanently in kiosk mode. The project evolved through 5 rigorous design versions — each incorporating learnings from meetings with Toyota Argentina and specialist teams — before reaching the approved construction phase, delivered in full in late 2022.
